And Then, And Then, And Then...

Sorry to be so out of touch... finally got my show over and done with so now to catch up.

A few weeks ago I joined artist friends in Folsom, LA, for the last monoprint workshop we'll be able to hold as Dottie will be selling her house and studio and moving back into NOLA. We wanted to be gather to support both her and our good buddy Patti, who is having a devil of a time with cancer. Great attitude, but can't seem to get the beast under control. Patti and I became close friends when we first moved to NOLA and it hurts to see this happen to her. But she'll recover and we're already talking about the possibilities of the group to gather at the lake house for paint-outs... woo-hoo!

Was able to spend a few days with Jon and crew since I was in the neighborhood... any excuse is a good excuse. Lily is on her way to being a really fine animal... and a BIG one! The girls gave bags of beads for me to take back for the non-paraders.
Had out-of-town guests for the annual Master's Swim Meet in Auburn, Joel managed to mess up a muscle in his side when he hefted himself out of a high sided pool... still hurting but doc (as well as his barber) sez he will recover eventually. Meanwhile, little is happening at the lake, but don't know when we'd get down there anyway. Life stays full, which is a good thing, I guess. Found a pic that shows what it COULD look like... amazing similarities in the room layout.

My show opened last Friday, see pics here. Show looks good, had a fun time, no big sellers at opening but at those prices the gallery will have it's job cut out for itself. I sure couldn't afford them! Somehow it usually all works out.

Next... a friend invited me to join her in a house-sitting assignment in Santa Fe next week. SWA offered some affordable tickets and I'll be flying out on Tues and home again on Saturday. Not looking for another gallery out there, but you never know. Just looking for some good art viewing and a change of pace after finishing up one show and starting another. That will open in Memphis on May 4... hope the LR clan can attend! Will talk more closer to time.

MARCH BIRTHDAYS:
Paige will be 12 on March 12
Joel will be 71 on March 31
