Uphill Battle

The dogwoods are in full regalia as you can see here. You can also see that Grampie was lucky enough to get some help from neighbors to get the van back up the hill. The ground is pure mulch and traction was non-existent so getting down was a whole lot easier than getting back up. We do need some sort of transport for hauling stuff back and forth (including anyone having a bad knee or hip day.) Thought about a golf cart but not sure it would make it in the soft soil... we'll be thinking on it.

We had carpet installed in the second bedroom upstairs, using the white that had been in the liv/dining room. We made an executive decision to leave the cork tile floor for now and not worry about hurrying a decision on what we really want to do. Too bad I didn't put more drop cloths down... now I'm cleaning up paint spots! But it's starting to come together. Next will be to have all carpets cleaned, upstairs and down. Then we'll start putting furniture in place. The weather is warmer, the breezes look just about right to relearn sail boating and I'm over my cold and ready to give it a whirl. Maybe Sunday...

We use larger ones in the state parks.
