It didn't occur to me until Mom sent me a note about something today, that others might be interested in joining Meisi, Libi and I on our return journey to China in three years, but there you have it - if anyone wants to go with us, we plan to travel the summer of 2010 for a two week venture back to the girls birthplaces, and of course the tourist sites like Great Wall and Xian Warriors, but also out of the way places in each of the girls home provinces of Hunan and Guangzhou.
So, if you want to go, start saving now! The trip will actually be formally planned the summer of 2009, so you've got two years to make up your mind!
UPDATE:
The other timing option is to go during the two weeks the kids are out during Christmas break, which means it'd be darn cold in Beijing and Xian, but quite pleasant in Guangzhou and Hunan where the girls were born. In the summer, it's just hot. New Orleans has nothing on the humidity of Guangzhou in June. I remember it well...
